Congratulations to Trip Hiramoto for receiving the Chi Epsilon Outstanding Freshman of the Year Award!

Congratulations to Trip Hiramoto for receiving the Chi Epsilon Outstanding Freshman of the Year Award!

The Outstanding Freshman of the Year (FOTY) Award recognizes civil engineering students who have presented exceptional academic performance during their freshman year. This distinction serves as a motivation for students to continue striving for excellence while pursuing their professional and personal goals.

Every year, Chi Epsilon selects civil engineering student candidates based on their cumulative GPA after the first year of study. Eligible students are invited to interview with the executive board members, which determines the final recipient. The awardee is then recognized at the end-of-semester banquet and presented with an official award plaque.

Trip is currently a sophomore majoring in Civil Engineering. He is an active member of both ITE and ASCE, where he continually demonstrates his enthusiasm for volunteering and contributing to the engineering community. Known for his strong leadership, teamwork, and kindness, Trip is an excellent representative of Chi Epsilon’s values of character, scholarship, practicality, and sociability. Congratulations Trip!
